We’d love to welcome you and your whānau to our practice. Enrolling means you choose us as your regular GP team so we can support your health over time, coordinate your care, and help you access funded services where you are eligible.

Choose your GP when you enrol online: Visit our GP team profiles, select the GP you’d like to enrol with, and click the enrolment link in their bio. Your enrolment will be connected to that GP.

Why enrol?

  • Ongoing care with a team who knows you – better continuity and support for long-term wellbeing.
  • Lower fees (where eligible) – enrolled patients are usually charged a lower funded fee than casual/visitor patients.
  • Reminders and recalls – help to stay up to date with immunisations, screening, and check-ups.
  • Coordinated care – we can help with referrals and follow-up with hospitals and other services.
  • Access to health programmes – support for prevention and managing long-term conditions.

Who can enrol?

In Aotearoa New Zealand, enrolment is available to people who are eligible for publicly funded health services and who intend to use this practice as their regular, ongoing provider. You can only be enrolled with one general practice at a time.

  • New Zealand citizens and residents
  • Australian citizens or Australian permanent residents (with an intention to stay in New Zealand for at least 2 years)
  • People with a work or study visa that allows them to be in New Zealand for 2 years or more
  • Some other groups may be eligible (for example refugees or protected persons)

Not sure if you’re eligible? Please contact our reception team, we’re happy to help. (Eligibility generally includes an intention to live in New Zealand for at least 183 days in the next 12 months.)

How to enrol

  1. Complete an enrolment form – enrol online by choosing a GP from their profile page and clicking the enrolment link in their bio, or ask our reception team for a paper form at the practice.
  2. Bring identification – we need to sight documents that confirm your eligibility (see below).
  3. Read and agree to our Health Information Privacy Statement – this is a required part of enrolment.
  4. We process your enrolment – once complete, we’ll confirm your enrolment and you can book ongoing care with our team.

What to bring

  • Photo ID (e.g., passport or driver licence)
  • Proof of eligibility (e.g., NZ passport or birth certificate, residency documentation, or a valid work/study visa with 2+ years remaining/covered)
  • NHI number (if you know it)
  • Current medications and any important medical information (helpful, but not required)

Changing from another GP?

If you are enrolled at another general practice and want to enrol with us, we can request a transfer of your medical records with your consent. Enrolling with us will remove you from your previous practice’s enrolment register, as you can only be enrolled with one practice at a time.

Frequently asked questions

Will it cost less if I’m enrolled?
Enrolled patients are usually charged a lower funded fee than people who visit as casual/visitor patients (where eligibility criteria are met).

When will my enrolled (funded) fees apply?
If you are not yet receiving funded fees at the time of your first visit, that visit may be charged at the casual rate. Funding approval and confirmation can take up to a month to come through after you submit your enrolment.

Can I still visit another clinic occasionally?
Yes. You can visit another provider as a casual patient if needed (for example, when travelling). You may be charged a higher fee there if you are not enrolled with them.

What if I don’t come in very often?
If you haven’t had contact with the practice for a long period (generally 3 years), we may get in touch to confirm you still wish to stay enrolled. It’s important to know that if you have not been seen by a GP here in 3 years and you don’t re-sign a new enrolment form when requested, you may lose your funded status and need to pay the casual fee until you re-sign, and your funding is confirmed again.

How do children enrol?
Parents/guardians can enrol children under 16. People aged 16 and over usually sign their own forms.
